Police chasing suspect near Ford Airport

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Michigan State Police are currently searching a wooded area near the Gerald R. Ford Airport after a person ran from officers.

Police tell FOX 17 that they attempted pulling over a vehicle heading west on the M-6 near Patterson. The two men in the vehicle ran from police into the woods.  One of the two men has been taken into custody.

Police say they found a backpack full or marijuana during their search. A cellphone was also recovered.

Businesses in the area were notified about the search. As of late Thursday evening, the remaining suspects remains at large.
