1. The world's largest art competition is coming to a close, and tonight we'll know the winners of ArtPrize Eight.
Voting has already closed, with more than 370,000 votes cast.
There's $500,000 in prizes split between a public and juried vote.
There's a watch party for the announcement tonight at Rosa Parks Circle, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Food trucks will be there, as well as Founders Brewing Company.
ArtPrize officially ends on Sunday.
2. Whether you're looking for a new job, or a way to make some extra cash for the holidays, check out Woodland Mall in Kentwood this weekend.
They're holding a career fair Saturday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Like all job fairs, bring several copies of your resume and dress for on-the-spot interviews.
3. She played Sandy in the hit-movie “Grease,” now Olivia Newton John will be in Grand Rapids to help raise awareness for breast and prostate cancer next week.
The actress battled the disease in the 90's and went on to create a self-exam device called LIV AID.
Olivia will be at the Cascade Meijer on 28th Street on Monday promoting the new "Pink and Blue" wines. All proceeds will go to fight cancer.
If you want to meet the actress, just show up from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The first 20 customers will also get an autographed bottle.
4. If you and the family are looking for something fun to do, you might want to visit Binder Park Zoo before it closes for the season this weekend.
The zoo closes on Sunday, but it won't be your very last chance to visit.
Next Saturday, on the 15th, the zoo will host its special Oktoberfest event for the adults. Then there will be a pumpkin carving event on the 17th.
From the 19th to the 30th, the Zoo Boo will be going on. It's a fun alternative to traditional trick or treating, complete with a hay ride and a trip to haunted Africa.
5. Do you believe in Bigfoot? A video out of Northern Michigan is getting a lot of attention.
The camera was monitoring an eagle's nest, but an unexpected guest showed up in the background.
Some think it could be Bigfoot, but a professor who studies the subject says while the video is interesting it doesn't offer very compelling evidence.
The camera was mounted on a tree near a state fish hatchery in Benzie County.
