GARFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP/WXMI) — Michigan State Police have identified the husband and wife killed in a shooting following a domestic disturbance at a home in Newaygo County.

Police says 38-year-old Kristie Wolever and 49-year-old Thomas Wolever of Newaygo were found dead early Monday. They say 18-year-old Thomas Stebleton, who also lived in the home, was transported to a hospital with a gunshot wound. He was listed in stable condition Monday afternoon.

Police said the shootings occurred about 2 a.m. Monday. Police haven’t said who fired the gunshots.

In an interview with FOX 17, Frank Wolever said the dead couple are his son and daughter-in-law. He says his son moved out of the house after his wife informed him she had a boyfriend and wanted a divorce.  Wolever said Stebleton is his step grandson.
