1. If you want to vote in the November 8 presidential election, today is your last day to register.

Applicants must be 18 years old by Election Day and U.S. citizens.

Voters can register by mail or in person at their county, city or township clerk`s office or by visiting any Secretary of State branch.

Monday, Clinton made a handful of stops around the Midwest, including visits to Detroit and Columbus, Ohio and was pushing to make sure people were registered to vote.

Meantime, Trump headed to Pennsylvania for a rally of his own.

2. Samsung is now issuing an urgent warning to anyone who has a Galaxy Note 7 Phone: turn it off immediately.

The company sent out the warning Monday, after getting reports that the phone is spontaneously catching fire, including the original phone and the replacements.

The alert comes one day after Samsung halted production.

Samsung says it will also ask all carrier and retail partners globally to stop sales.

3. A team of researchers from Michigan State University took part in a major dig over the weekend.

It was for Mastodon bones in Michigan's thumb.

They were first discovered two years ago, on the banks of a creek in Mayville.

Finally, this past Saturday, a number of paleontologists, grad students, and teachers from area schools got to dig the bones out.

According to The Times Herald in Port Huron, a part-time teacher at the Fowler Center for Outdoor Learning made the original discovery and got to be part of the dig.

Scientists say the mastodon died about 11,000 years ago.

4. ArtPrize may be over but there are more renowned artists coming to the area. Downtown Holland and the Holland Farmers Market will host the second annual Fall Fest this weekend.

During this two-day event, you’re invited to celebrate everything there is to love about Fall, with hayrides, pumpkin painting and more!

Eight of the nation’s best professional pumpkin carvers will make a return appearance at this year’s Fall Fest, including two alumni from Food Network’s popular Halloween Wars special, Danny Kissel and Dean Murray.

5. This morning, we finally have a new winner in the World Championship Pumpkin Weigh Off.

The competition took place in Half Moon Bay, California Monday.

The winning pumpkin weighed in at 1,910 pounds.

The winner gets $6 per pound, so she should get a little more than $11,000.

She didn't break the world record though; a Swiss farmer holds the record with a pumpkin that weighed more than 2,200 pounds.
