1. The Grand Rapids skyline could see the addition of two new towers.

The Downtown Development Authority is expected to discuss the plans today, with a price tag of  $63.5 million.

The project calls for the towers to be built in the parking lot on the corner of Ottawa and Pearl Avenue. One tower will have 123 apartments, and the other will be split between seven floors of parking, and seven floors of office space.

Both towers will share a ground level that will house retail shops. Construction is expected to start next spring, and finish in two years.

2. The Detroit-based Atwater Brewery is opening its new location in downtown Grand Rapids Thursday.

The 6,000 square-foot tap house, winery, distillery and restaurant will feature a rotation of 40 beers on tap and Atwater’s line of spirits, wine, hard ciders and craft beer.

The brewery is located at 201 Michigan Street and is part of an estimated $26 million renovation project for Olds Manor, which has stood since 1923, when it was known as the Rowe Hotel.

The development will also include 77 apartments and a handful of condominiums.

3. If you're looking for a new job, there's a career fair going on today with dozens of companies ready to hire.

Kentwood Community Church will host the fair at their Wyoming campus on Clyde Park Avenue.

47 companies will be there with full time, part time, and seasonal jobs. That includes Farmers insurance, Goodwill of greater Grand Rapids, and the U.S. Navy.

The fair is going on until 12 p.m., and it's open to everyone. Bring several copies of your resume and dress to impress.

4. You've heard of that new car smell, but is there such a thing as a new computer smell?

It seems that fans of apple products enjoy their favorite store so much they want to take more than just a new computer home with them, they want the scent.

A company called Twelve South has started selling a new soy candle that apparently smells like a new Mac computer. They sold out in just a couple of hours, so clearly there's a demand for them.

The company also designs accessories exclusively for Apple like iPhone cases and iPod covers, and is promising to have more candles in stock later this month.

5. The Chicago Cubs are officially moving on in the post season.

They had a thrilling, last-inning comeback against the San Francisco Giants Tuesday night to make it happen.

The Cubs head to the NLCS for the second year in a row.

They beat San Francisco 6 to 5, after being down 5 to 2 in the 9th. They rallied for four runs, to clinch the series in four games.

That's the largest last inning comeback win to win a playoff series in history. Tuesday’s win snaps the Giants' 10-game winning streak in elimination games.

Now, the Cubs wait to see who wins between the Washington Nationals and Los Angeles Dodgers.
