It’s Rivalry Week on the Blitz in Week 8

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich -- Several big rivalries are set to renew on Friday and none bigger than our game of the week as West Catholic (6-1) plays at Grand Rapids Catholic Central (7-0).

These schools have not met in football since 2009, but this season share the same conference with the winner clinching at least a share of the OK Blue.

Montague (6-1) meets Oakridge (6-1) in the Blitz Battle to decide the West Michigan Conference.  The Eagles have won six straight games and have already claimed a share of the title, the Wildcats can share it with a win.

Other games we are expecting to be at on Friday night include:

Grant (5-2) at Newaygo (3-4)

Constantine (5-2) at Schoolcraft (7-0)

Mona Shores (4-3) at Muskegon (6-1)

Jenison (5-2) at West Ottawa (1-6)

Rockford (5-2) at East Kentwood (4-3)

Kelloggsville (6-1) at Belding (5-2)

Byron Center (6-1) at Zeeland East (6-1)

Unity Christian (6-1) at Hamilton (5-2)

East Grand Rapids (5-2) at FH Eastern (2-5)

GR Christian (6-1) at Wayland (3-4)

Lowell (7-0) at Forest Hills Northern (4-3)

Cedar Springs (3-4) at Forest Hills Central (5-2)

Martin (4-3) at Galesburg-Augusta (4-3)

Delton-Kellogg (4-3) at Saugatuck (7-0)

South Haven (3-4) at Vicksburg (6-1)

The Blitz airs Friday night at 10:30 P.M. with a full hour of highlights, reaction and analysis.
