WEST MICHIGAN — Frost dominated our Friday morning and now we’ve transitioned to a warmer, unseasonable pattern for the next few days.  We’ll remain dry for Saturday, but the preceding cloud coverage is a hint to what we’re expecting Sunday morning.

As a weak cold front moves into our region, we’ll expect a line of showers and thunderstorms to move through in the very early morning hours of Sunday.  This won’t have an effect on anyone who doesn’t have very early morning plans, but don’t be surprised if you’re a light sleeper and are woken up by a clap of thunder.

We’ll expect between a half inch to an inch of rain to fall in most locations, with some locally heavier amounts.  Most of the rain will be done before noon, but there’s a possibility of a trailing shower into the early afternoon hours, especially closer to the Michigan-Indiana line.

Then we’re dealing with an interesting situation for middle October as we look toward Monday.  A warm front lifts northward and skyrockets our temperatures into the upper 70s and low 80s!  We’ll have a good, strong south breeze helping us out, but temps will be very near record highs for Monday.
