Police: Pedestrian hit while jaywalking in Wyoming
WYOMING, Mich. — A man was taken to the hospital after police say he was hit by vehicle while jaywalking across the street Sunday night.
The man was hit just before 8:30 p.m. near 32nd Street and Division Avenue while trying to cross the street, according to police.
Wyoming police officers on scene tell FOX 17 the man was hospitalized with leg and head injuries, but the extent of his injuries was not immediately clear.
The man’s name was not immediately released.
Authorities said the foggy conditions at the time likely made it difficult for the man to be seen by drivers as he crossed the road.
The driver involved was not injured.
