GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Families with kids of all ages with special needs filled the Deltaplex today for the 5th annual Special Families Fun Fest.

Kids had the chance  to get hands on with carnival games and a petting zoo.

They also could get away in the sensory room and had the chance to put the pedal to the metal on an adaptive bike course.

The bikes allowed kids that can't use their feet to power it with their hands, and while doing that their legs are strapped in so it gives them good therapy.

The festival also had several educational materials for parents about different therapies.

Proceeds from the event go to help support Family Hope Foundation’s scholarship program for therapy not covered by insurance.
