The Kalamazoo Improv Festival returns to showcase talented improv actors from across the Midwest this weekend.

Festival goers have the chance to see teams from Chicago, Grand Rapids, Detroit, and Kalamazoo perform without a script, trying to make audiences laugh based on their suggestions.

In addition to performances by improv teams, there will also be live music, and workshops so the community can learn how to act on the spot.

The Kalamazoo Improv Frestival is taking place at Kalamazoo's arts hub, The Epic Center, on October 21 and 22.

The festival activities start at 5:30 p.m. on Friday with the Happy Hour Show, followed by shows at 7:30 and 9:30. On Saturday there will be improv workshops at 1 and 4 p.m. The festival ends with shows at 7:30 and 9:30 p.m., with each show featuring three improv groups.

Tickets range from $10 to $25.
