Van Buren County dispatch director dies from cancer

VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. — A dispatcher from Van Buren County died Tuesday.

Dispatch director Jeri Tapper died after battling cancer for more than four years, the Van Buren County 911 Facebook pagesays. She was 58.

Tapper served as 911 Director for the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office for 29 years.

Her obituarysays her funeral will be Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home at 502 W Michigan Ave in Paw Paw. There will be a celebration of life held after.
