Hawks, owls, and other birds are hard to spot here in West Michigan, but what if there was an opportunity to see them up close?

There's a chance to see birds of prey up close at the Pierce Cedar Creek Institute at their Birds of Prey event on Friday, November 4.

Thanks to the Outdoor Discovery Center, hawks, owls, and other birds of prey will be brought out and shown off to visitors. These birds have either been injured or no longer able to survive in the wild, so they can handle being up close to humans.

There will also be opportunities to ask questions about the birds and take pictures.

Tickets cost $4 for kids and $6 for adults if you're a member of Pierce Cedar Creek Institute, and $6 and $10 respectively for non-members.

The event goes from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sign up to register for the event by calling (269) 721-4190, or online.
