GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Just two days ago, Leslie Austin tearfully expressed her frustration with Grand Volute Ballroom.  The wedding venue filed for bankruptcy without warning in August 2016. That was just a few weeks after she paid the business a $1,000 deposit to secure her wedding date for next summer.

She was initially told not to worry but then learned the venue may not be open after the new year and that she still couldn't get her money back.

Mariah Sund also signed a contract and paid Grand Volute Ballroom around the same time.

She said, "It's just frustrating knowing that they booked people knowing that they were headed that way."

To help ease some of that frustration, a viewer who saw the story reached out to the FOX 17 Problem Solvers in order to give away $1,000; $500 for each bride to be.

"Are you kidding?" Austin said, adding, "Thank you. It means so much. You don't even know."

Sund said, "I would like to tell them I'm really grateful for what they've done."

Since these stories aired, a couple of West Michigan venues have also reached out to the Problem Solvers offering to help. That includes Henderson Castle in Kalamazoo and the English Hills Country Club in Walker. Both venues have offered to give the brides a deal to help compensate for their losses.

As previously reported, Grand Volute's bankruptcy attorney said the business has until November 21st to present a plan to the bankruptcy court. They're also hoping for a buyer.
