WEST MICHIGAN — It will be breezy and cold today with occasional flurries, but milder air is on the way.

For today, northwest winds behind our departing area of low pressure will keep temperatures cold and some snow flurries around. In addition, another cold front will reinforce the cold air that’s already in place. Here is a look at where this front is as of early this morning:

The snow could be a little more significant within a few miles of the lakeshore, where a dusting to an inch of additional accumulation is possible. This is how much additional snow the RPM forecast model suggests we’ll see:

Speaking of snow, here is a look at some totals from some select areas yesterday:

Accumulating snow like this won’t be a concern for the upcoming work week. A wintry mix of rain, snow, and sleet is possible on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning ahead of a warm front, but milder air moving in during the daytime hours should change this mix to rain showers through the day on Wednesday. Showers could linger into Thanksgiving morning, and a slight chance of rain and snow is in the forecast for Friday.

Our average high and low for this date are 45° and 32°. We’ll be close to those most of this week.
