Increased holiday patrols in Kalamazoo lead to home invasion arrests

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — While conducting holiday patrols in a Kalamazoo neighborhood, an officer was able to stop a home invasion.

It happened Thursday afternoon in the 1500 block of Kickapoo Ct. Kalamazoo police say an officer spotted two men seemingly breaking into a home; one exiting the house while the other stood watch.

The officer says both men had burglary tools on them used, used to allegedly break the rear slider door.

Both suspects – a 26- and a 29-year-old – were arrested on home invasion charges and possessing of burglary tools. They’re both in Kalamazoo County Jail.
