1. After days of speculation, Michigan is now the third state to soon undergo a recount of the presidential election.

Former Green Party candidate, Jill Stein, formally filed the request on Wednesday. Now all votes cast back on November 8 will be hand counted.

County clerks say they're ready for the lengthy task that could end up costing taxpayers millions of dollars.

The votes all need to be counted by December 13.

2. Bronco fans are invited to help send the 12 and 0 Western Michigan University team off to Ford Field for the MAC Championship game on Friday.

The team's motorcade is expected to pass through the Central Business District in downtown Kalamazoo between between 12:15 and 12:30 p.m. Fans are invited to line Michigan Avenue between Rose and Portage Street.

Tickets for Friday's game are still on sale through the Ford Field Box Office. Kickoff starts at 7 p.m.

3. The City of Wyoming is hosting it's Give Back event to collect toys for local kids Thursday night.

They're partnering with local businesses for the annual Wymoning Gives Back Celebration from 6 to 8 p.m.

Head to Roger Plaza mall and bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate to the Salvation Army Angel Tree, and get a raffle ticket for a chance to win hundreds of dollars of gifts. All the gifts are donated by Wyoming-area businesses.

There will also be hot chocolate and cookies, plus kids can visit with the local police, firefighters, and Santa Claus.

4. Holland is getting into the Christmas spirit a little early with the Sinterklaas Eve Celebration on Friday.

Celebrate the season at this traditional Dutch Folk event on Friday at the Holland Armory.

Starting at 6 p.m. there will be lantern-making, story time, and a food drive to benefit Community Action House. There will also be a procession to Centennial Park for a tree lighting.

5. 2017 will go down in history as the year of the frosty.

Wendy's is giving people a chance to get free frosties all year round at their restaurant. On Wednesday the food chain announced they're selling $2 key tags that let customers get a free junior frosty with every purchase.

Wendy's also said they will pay 90 cents on the dollar for every key tag to the Dave Thomas Foundation to help children in foster care.

The tags are available at most Wendy's locations, but the tags on the company's website are already sold out.
