Peppers Named a Heisman Finalist
NEW YORK, NY — Michigan linebacker Jabril Peppers has named a finalist for the Heisman Trophy and will be in New York Saturday night when the 2016 winner is announced.
Peppers mad 72 tackles this season, 16 for a loss and was named the Big Ten’s defensive player of the year. He also ran for 167 yards and 3 touchdowns and averaged 14.8 yards per punt return with one touchdown.
Clemson quarterback DeShaun Watson, Louisville quarteback Lamar Jackson, Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield and Oklahoma wide receiver Dede Westbrook are the other finalists.
