Plans developing for site of former GM plant

WYOMING, Mich. - The potential development plans for an old General Motors site are becoming a little more defined.

The Site 36 Industrial Park is at the site of the former GM plant along 36th Street and Clyde Park.  Franklin Partners LLC is taking over the marketing and development of the site.  They are working with the City of Wyoming and The Right Place to bring jobs with decent wages back to the area.

The site is 92 acres and could take two to six buildings of about one million total square feet of industrial real estate.  The site includes direct highway access to US-131 and rail access.

The site could be uses for automotive or medical device manufacturing, food processing or even as a data center, like the one that is coming to the former Steelcase Pyramid in Gaines Township.

Developers hope to have the names of some tenants in 2017.

I think you mean 36th and Clay Ave or 36th and Buchanan Ave. The businesses and houses in the 36th / Clyde Park Ave might object.
