1.

1. President-elect Donald Trump plans to return to West Michigan on Friday.

He plans to be at the Delta Plex in Walker as part of his “thank you” tour.

The president-elect actually wrapped up his campaign in West Michigan, with a late-night rally at DeVos Place in Grand Rapids.

Friday’s event starts at 7 p.m.

2. The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department is going to pay it forward and help some local kids get their Christmas shopping done.

The sheriff’s office teamed up with local stores as well as Grand Haven Area Public Schools for the 8th annual event.

The Grand Haven Township Fire Department is also taking part. Around 4:30 p.m. the department will take the kids shopping at Walmart and at 5 p.m. they’ll be at Meijer.

The event is all about helping local children buy gifts and clothes for the holiday season.

3. One Mississippi man has broken a new world record, after standing in the cold ringing a bell for six straight days.

Jamie Richardson broke the 150-hour record. He went without sleep and had just one five minute break every four hours.

He says he had a special reason for giving back to the Salvation Army. After living on the streets for a while, Jamie turned to the organization for help, which is why it was so easy for him to take on the challenge.

4. A grocery store with no checkout lines sounds like a dream, but Amazon is making it a reality.

Here’s how it works, you check in at the entrance of the store using the Amazon Go App, then you can grab whatever you want and leave.

Amazon says it tracks purchases using computer vision and advanced sensor technology.

The first store is in Seattle, where Amazon is headquartered. Right now, the store is only open to Amazon employees.

The public can start shopping at Amazon Go stores early next year.

5. It’s a common struggle these days to come up with a witty hashtag to help organize photos for a big event.

Think no more thanks to a new service that helps create hashtags for any event, including weddings, office parties, and even birthdays.

It’s the brainchild of a Los Angeles magazine editor. She created Happily Ever #Hashtagged back in November, offering a witty and clever hashtag for $40.

The editor created what she calls her “premiere concierge service” after attending 19 weddings over two years and noticing the lack of options.

Each bride wanted help coming up with a creative hashtag to capture wedding photos on social media.

So far, she’s had 60 orders to date and her most popular has been the three wedding hashtags package, which retails for $85.
