From getting details on the perfect wedding cake just right, to mastering how to make flowers out of sugar, the Culinary Institute of Michigan is the place to go to master the culinary arts.

At CIM, they teach their students everything from baking, breads, pies, desserts, pastries, and so much more. With their rigorous program, students get less time in the classroom and more time with hands-on experience and instruction.

Every year they do a chocolate display as part of the Advanced Confections class. This is the last class students have to take before they finish their associates degree in the baking and pastry program.

Every year they do a Christmas theme, so this year they recreated a "Chocolate Village" of buildings located in downtown Muskegon with a holiday touch. Each creation is completely made out of chocolate, and each student go to pick which building they wanted to recreate.

Leigh Ann had a chance to talk with the students and learned the process of making a building out of chocolate.
