Cutting carbs out of your diet will help get rid of belly fat.

Fiction: Cutting out all carbs will not help in getting rid of belly fat. However, whole grains are considered good carbs and are good for your health.

People Who sleep less are more at risk for depression and anxiety.

Fact: Without the proper amount of sleep, our bodies and minds can't function properly, leading to more serious issues like depression and anxiety.

It is unhealthy for a women in her 40s to have a baby.

Both: While it isn't terrible for women to have children at an older age, it's a fact that as women get older they have a bigger risk of complications with pregnancy and the baby's development.

Bariatric surgery is just a cop out.

Fiction: Bariatric surgery is seen by many people as a quick way to get rid of body fat without all the work. However, there are cases where people aren't able to lose body weight because of a bad metabolism, or other health issues. With bariatric surgery, it can help the patient get a jump start to a healthy lifestyle.

Birth control does not cause weight gain among women who take it.

Both: Side effects are different for every type of medicine, and birth control is no exception. Women can experience weight gain, or a wide range of side effects depending on their body make-up and the brand of birth control being used.

The HPV vaccine causes more serious side effects than other vaccines.

Fiction: HPV vaccines are no more different than any other vaccine.
