WEST MICHIGAN -- After a couple of brutally cold days (for this time of year anyway) with some lake effect snow, look for moderating temperatures tomorrow into Saturday as low pressure over the Rockies moves eastward and pulls a warm front towards the area. Ahead of this low and attendant warm front, watch for snow to break out across the area at times tomorrow. The snow will become steadier towards evening:

The snow will continue overnight and into Saturday. Enough warm air aloft could cause the snow to mix with or change over to freezing rain, sleet, or rain at times, especially to the south and southeast of Grand Rapids.

After this low pulls east of the area on Saturday night, the "system snow" associated with that area of low pressure will taper off. Much colder air, however, will trail in behind this low and some lake effect snow will develop for Sunday. Monday also looks cold with lows in the single digits and highs in the teens, but moderating temperatures with snow-free conditions are expected Tuesday into Wednesday.
