RICHLAND, Mich -- Battle Creek Lakeview beat Gull Lake 5-4 in 8 innings in the first game of a doubleheader Tuesday, the Spartans also took the nightcap 6-0 to take the SMAC East title outright.
The Spartans finish league play at 9-1 and improve to 22-6 overall.
