Arrest made after wanted man ran into Kalamazoo house

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A man was arrested for weapons offensives after he allegedly ran into a house in a Kalamazoo neighborhood after being stopped by police.

Kalamazoo police say they tried to pull over a 28-year-old man with warrants out for his arrest shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday night. They say the man ran out of his vehicle and into a home in the 1100 block of Staples Street.

Police say the man was arrested around 9:30 p.m. No one was hurt in the incident.

Police clarified that the home the man ran into belonged to his family.

The suspect was taken to the Kalamazoo County jail.
