Boy, 15, in critical condition after rescued from water

GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A 15-year-old Wyoming boy  was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after he was rescued from the water  Saturday afternoon.

It happened around 4:10 p.m. at the 8th Avenue Park in Georgetown Township.

Police say the teen went into the swimming area to retrieve a ball and experienced a drop off. The boy was reportedly in 6 to 8 feet of water for 8 minutes before being pulled to safety.
