Grand Valley State University’s chief of police resigns

ALLENDALE, Mich. — The Chief of Police at Grand Valley State University has resigned, the school says.

Representatives at GVSU tell FOX 17 that Chief Renee Freeman resigned from her post at the school’s police department on Sept. 15.

She will remain in her post for a month, her last day being Oct. 13.

Captain Brandon DeHaan will be the acting chief when Freeman leaves in October.
