HOLLAND, Mich. — A group of teenagers at one West Michigan library are hoping to make winter a little bit warmer by launching a knitting project to make scarves for those in need.

‘Knitting for Holland ‘ was launched by the Teen Social Justice Club at Herrick District Library in Holland.

The group makes scarves, mittens, and shawls and hangs them by the entrance to the library for whoever may need them.

The program has become so popular that the group has announced two more open knitting sessions.

One is happening Tuesday, January 2nd and Tuesday February 6th. Both begin at 6:30 PM.

You don’t need any experience to attend and the library provides the supplies.
