Wyoming crash closes stretch of 28th Street

WYOMING, Mich. — A portion of 28th Street was closed for over two hours Monday after a crash near Hazelwood Avenue.

Wyoming Police say the crash was reported at about 5:51 p.m. when a man’s vehicle left the road and crashed into a pole.

The crash may have been caused by an unspecified medical issue, according to a release. The man was unresponsive at the scene and was taken to the hospital. His exact condition is unknown.

Eastbound 28th Street was closed between Byron Center Avenue and Sharon Avenue until about 8:20 p.m. Monday.

The man’s identity was not released. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
