MICHIGAN — The Kent County Sheriff’s Office is warning of a contracting scam reportedly targeting elderly residents in Grand Rapids and in other communities.
Police say incidents also have been reported in Kalamazoo and Lansing.
The suspects allegedly tell the homeowner there’s something wrong with the exterior of their home. Police say while one of the suspects distracts the victim, the other enters the home and typically steals cash from them.
