GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The City of Grand Rapids is closing the Grand River within city boundaries for any recreational use due to severe flooding.
The order includes anglers and anyone operating personal watercraft. Anyone violating the order is subject to being arrested or fined.
The order will remain in place until further notice.
The river is expected to crest above flood stage over the weekend.
