North Korea says it will suspend nuclear and missile testing

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — North Korea says it has suspended nuclear and long-range missile tests and plans to close its nuclear test site.

The North’s official Korean Central News Agency said the suspension of nuclear and ICBM tests went into effect Saturday.

The country says it’s making the move to shift its national focus and improve its economy.

The announcements came days before North Korean leader Kim Jong Un is set to meet South Korean President Moon Jae-in in a border truce village for a rare summit aimed at resolving the nuclear standoff with Pyongyang.

The North’s decisions were made in a meeting of the ruling party’s full Central Committee which had convened to discuss a “new stage” of policies.

We can thank Trump. Obama wanted regime change in NK, & never negotiated anything except giving away the farm, for nothing, to Iran. He left the country in much worse shape wherever you look.

Obama did nothing for this country. He didn’t even help his people.
Trump has accomplished more in just over a year than any recent President has.

So just like that the People’s “Republic” is dumping the nuclear program which they struggled for fifty years to establish; after finally making some genuine progress toward their ultimate goal? They’re going to pull a Ross Perot and quit when that goal is within their reach? Stinks like tuna packed in cod liver oil from here.
