Candace Monacelli joined the Fox 17 News team in June of 2017.

Candace was born and raised in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio where she enjoyed growing up on the lake. She graduated from the accredited journalism school at Kent State University and became a certified meteorologist at Mississippi State University. Go Flashes and Bulldogs!

Candace previously worked at WFMJ in Youngstown, Ohio bringing viewers along on every adventure and keeping them informed through the storms.

Candace is thrilled to be in West Michigan and enjoys everything weather from a healthy summer thunderstorm to lake effect snow. When not forecasting, Candace enjoys running, relaxing at the beach and sinking her teeth into every sweet treat Grand Rapids has to offer.

    MONTCALM COUNTY, Mich. — The road to recovery continues for a Michigan State Police K9 wounded in the line of duty.   Bolt suffered knife wounds while tracking suspects in a drive-by shooting earlier this month.
