I grew up in West Michigan, attending Belding High School. I attended Central Michigan University with a major in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts. I worked for a year at WSYM in Lansing and joined FOX 17 in August of 2006 with the addition of the FOX 17 morning news.
I currently live in Greenville with my wife Kara and sons Carter and Easton. I enjoy covering sports in West Michigan, especially at the high school level.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and playing golf.

    HOLLAND, Mich.— Kalamazoo Christian took on Covenant Christian in a Class C quarterfinal matchup that had to be moved to West Ottawa High School to accommodate the crowd. The Chagers got the 49-40 win and advanced to the state semifinals at the Breslin Center.

  • Kalamazoo Central’s Isaiah Livers wins Mr. Basketball

    KALAMAZOO, Mich — Kalamazoo Central senior forward Isaiah Livers has been named the 2017 Michigan Mr. Basketball. Livers has led the Maroon Giants to a 21-3 record and a spot in the class A state quarterfinals Tuesday night against Grand Rapids Christian at Lansing Eastern. Livers is averaging over 17 points and 14 rebounds this season. He has signed to play basketball at the University of Michigan. Grand Rapids Christian senior Xavier Tillman finished second in the voting.

    EAST LANSING, Mich — Mauriya Barnes scored 16 points and Corinne Jemison scored 14 points and grabbed 13 rebounds as East Kentwood held off Southfield A&T in a class A state semifinal 55-51 at Michigan State University. The Falcons had a 15 point lead at halftime (30-15) cut to 2 in the fourth quarter. East Kentwood will play Flushing in the class A state championship game Saturday at noon at the Breslin Center.
