    KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A bus driver who ended up losing her leg in a traffic crash back in May is now recovering in high spirits. The crash happened where W.   • 55-year-old woman charged with robbing bank using bomb threat

    BATH TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A woman is facing charges after police say she robbed a bank by threatening to detonate an explosive device. The Bath Township Police Department arrested 55-year-old Virginia Mae King of Morrice, Michigan, last Thursday after an investigation that was assisted by the FBI.     UPDATE – Sean Sullivan has been found and is safe. SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. — Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 35-year-old man. The Sault Ste. Marie Police Department says they received a missing persons report for 35-year-old Sean Michael Sullivan on Tuesday, August 22nd.  He was reportedly last seen around midnight on August 20th.   • Missing Oceana County girls found safe

      OCEANA CO, Mich. — Two missing Oceana County girls have been found safe. The Oceana County Sheriff says both girls were found hiding in the woods near Hart. One girl walked home around noon and the other was found at about 2:00 p.m. by a Michigan State Police K9. The sheriff says the girls left their home at about 1:00 a.m.  The case is being treated as a runaway situation.

  • 3 arrested for attempting to smuggle drugs into prison with drone

    IONIA, Mich. — Three people are under arrest following a brazen attempt to smuggle drugs and a cell phone into an Ionia prison. Around 4:00 a.m. Thursday two correctional officers at Richard A. Handlon Correctional Facility noticed the sound of a drone inside the yard of the prison.     HERSEY, Mich. — Police have arrested a former village treasurer in Osceola County after they say misappropriated funds were discovered. Michigan State Police said Thursday afternoon that the former treasurer for the Village of Hersey was arrested after an embezzlement investigation. That investigation happened back in June.
