    HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich– The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the man who robbed the Macatawa Bank off Riley Street in Holland Township Tuesday afternoon. Investigators say around 4:35 p.m., a male rushed up to the counter and demanded money. They say he had a handgun at the time, but say nobody inside the business was hurt.   • Police: 3 arrested after thefts from Sparta phone store

    SPARTA, Mich. — Police say three people are in custody after several phones were stolen from a Sparta cell phone store. The Kent County Sheriff’s Office says that after the thefts at the Sprint store at 630 S. State St., the suspects fled into a nearby wooded area.  The incident was reported just before 6 p.m. Wednesday.     Police searching for source of heroin after three fatal overdoses in Mason County

    LUDINGTON, Mich– The Ludington Police Department and the State Sheriffs Cities Enforcement Narcotics Team (S.S.C.E.N.T.) are working to determine where three recent victims got their heroin after they fatally overdosed. Investigators say the first victim, a 24-year-old male from Ludington, was found off East Melendy Street on May 11th.  The following day, officials say a 34-year-old man from Ludington died off North Washington Avenue.   • Home damaged by fire on Mother’s Day

    KALAMAZOO, Mich– Crews spent about an hour and a half putting out a house fire Sunday afternoon. Public Safety Officers were dispatched to the 3300 block of Brookmont Drive around 1:15 p.m. When they arrived on scene, heavy smoke was coming from the residence.     HASTINGS, Mich– The Hastings Area School System will be closed Monday, after receiving an unspecific threat on Sunday. The district made an announcement about the closure on its Facebook page.     GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — An investigation is underway after police say a cellphone was found recording in the restroom of a Grand Rapids restaurant. Officials say a 14-year-old girl found the device Saturday at Penn Station East Coast Subs on 28th Street.  The teen saw the smartphone on a light in the women’s restroom and told her father.     OTSEGO, Mich- Leaders at Otsego Public Schools have decided to cancel classes Thursday, after a threat began circulating online.
