Dave Spencer

Wow, has it really been ten years?  That’s how long I’ve been working at a job I love.  After graduating from MSU, Go Green! I stayed in Lansing and worked as both a photographer and a reporter.  From there, I moved to Lexington KY, spending five years strictly in front of the camera.

Since I can’t sit still, having a job in journalism takes me in a different direction every day.  I love the pressure of a deadline and the thrill of live television.

Some of my news reporter highlights include…

Presidential speeches, high profile murder trials, World Series games, and the NBA Finals.  I love Detroit sports teams so I would say yeah, I’ve seen a few highlights.

My colleagues appreciate…

My level head.  This business can be crazy stressful.   I try not to add to that stress level.  I think that approach helps when I’m in tough situations like talking with grieving family members or speaking with someone after a tragedy.

My career goals include…
