Bio

“There’s no place like home!” is not only from my favorite movie but it couldn’t be more fitting after landing back in West Michigan after 12 years in the industry. Most recently, I was the main anchor at WTRF in Wheeling, W.Va. after being a Reporter/Anchor at WEYI in Flint for five years.

They say variety is the spice of life and that couldn’t be truer, when it comes to being a reporter and fill-in anchor at WXMI. One morning I will be interviewing a comedian and the next, hunting down the big story of the day.

I’m known in the newsroom for…

Being related to or knowing anyone in Montcalm County (or so it seems)

What keeps me going

Knowing that I am doing something I’ve wanted to do my whole life and making my family proud

My greatest TV moment

Seeing myself on Anderson Cooper in a video clip after a cat decided to climb up Reporter Nicole DiDonato’s back while she was doing a live report. I was co-anchoring, and happened to be introducing her in the field. I had friends calling me from all over the country saying they saw this hysterical “caught on camera” moment.

TV moment I’d like to forget

I don’t want to forget any TV moments, good or bad. I love what I do and realize that everyone makes mistakes or has a bad day.

If I had free time, I would…

Force myself to take guitar and sewing lessons. I have the sewing machine and the guitar, now I just need the skills.
