Bio

Whether it’s the World Series, Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final, or on the sidelines of a high school football game, I am honored to say, “Been there. Done that.”

Ever since the fall of 2008, I’ve been working in the best sports department in West Michigan here at FOX 17. As a native Michigander, I’ve been lucky to cover the teams I grew up rooting for as a child. Now I’m bringing you, the viewer, the sights and sounds of those teams while also trying to give you a better understanding of what’s happened and why it’s happening.  Since coming to West Michigan, I’ve been happy to discover the sports scene goes well beyond just the major players. Our West Michigan is also about the Whitecaps, the Griffins, high school and college sports and it’s been a thrill to cover it all.

I started my television career (there once was a radio career before this TV thing) in Bemidji, Minnesota. I had the privilege of winning a few awards and getting to know all about “Minnesota Nice” while serving as the Sports Director of Lakeland News. Before that, I was taught the craft by some fantastic mentors from Adrian College (Undergrad Studies) and the School of Broadcast and Cinematic Arts at Central Michigan University (Graduate Studies).
