As a new storm bore down on the New York area, passengers in Grand Rapids hoping to fly into Newark’s Liberty International Airport found themselves with few options.
United Airlines cancelled its Wednesday departures from Grand Rapids to Newark for Wednesday.
Officially, however, Delta flights from Grand Rapids to New York’s LaGuardia Airport remained on the day’s schedule.
Notices on the Newark airport’s web site urged flyers to contact their airlines to get direct word on the status of their flights to Newark and to JFK International Airport.
