GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.—
Around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday the Grand Rapids Police Department (GRPD) responded to a report of a concealed weapon at The Lighthouse Charter Academy.
According the the police, the school on the North East side of the Grand Rapids called 911 after learning a male student had a handgun inside the school.
When the police arrived, they approached the 15-year-old suspect and discovered he had a loaded .38 caliber handgun. The police arrested the suspect and took him to the Kent County Juvenile Detention Center.
