Three people died and two were seriously injured in a three-vehicle accident Tuesday evening in Van Buren County.
At 7:11 p.m. Tuesday, the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a multiple-vehicle crash with injuries on County Road 388 ner 62nd Street in Geneva Township.
Upon arriving at the scene, deputies found a truck and two cars involved in the crash. Three people were killed and two people were airlifted from the scene with life-threatening injuries.
Deputies told FOX 17 NEWS that a truck hit a vehicle traveling in the same direction, crossed the center line on County Road 388 and then hit another vehicle head-on. All three people who died were in that third vehicle that was struck head-on.
The accident remains under investigation by the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department.
