SCHOOLCRAFT TWP., Mich.- Just after two a.m on Wednesday morning, firefighters were called to the 13,000 block of S. Portage Road for a fire.
The house was engulfed in flames when departments arrived. Firefighters found two residents of the house, 49 year old Troy Cantwell and 51 year old Cherie Moore, both of Vicksburg, standing outside with burns on ninty percent of their bodies. They were taken to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo where Troy was in critical condition and Cherie is in serious condition. Several pets inside the home were killed in the fire. Investigators are still trying to figure out what caused the fire.
