The Tigers hunted Hunter and got their man.

Free agent outfielder Torii Hunter announced on Twitter that he will be joining the Detroit Tigers.  Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports reports that he has agreed to a 2-Year, $26 Million deal with the reigning AL Champs.

Hunter, 37, spent the last five seasons with the Los Angeles Angels and hit a career-high .313 last season with 16 home runs and 92 RBI’s.  He is a career .277 hitter and also owns 9 Gold Gloves.

He is no stranger to Tigers fans, as he spent the majority of his career with the Minnesota Twins.

The deal is still pending a physical and Hunter is expected to play right field and bat second in the Tigers lineup.
