A caring and compassionate mother, that’s how Julie Blank-Danielson will be remembered.

“Julie was one of the most wonderful people in the entire world. She was beautiful,” Liz Blank said.

Liz Blank is Julie’s sister- in-law. The two worked together at Flagstar Bank.

“She is very, very, very smart. I worked with her at the Bank. She was my manger at Flagstar Bank, and because of her, I met my husband, and I married her brother,” Liz said.

Liz says Julie was a mother of two little boys. She loved her children more than anything.

“I loved to listen to her talk, because she makes me feel so stupid sometimes, because she’s so smart,” Liz said.

Around 4 a.m. Saturday morning, Montcalm County Sheriff’s deputies were called out to 4000 block Whitefish Woods Drive in Pierson Township. That’s where they found the 31 year old woman dead in her basement.

“We will still find the person who did it,” Liz said.

A person of interest has been taken into custody for questioning by the sheriff’s office. Liz hopes they have the person responsible for Julie’s death. Deputies believe this was not a random crime.

“She really is one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever met and the world will definitely be missing out now that she’s gone,” Liz said.

Liz says Julie’s two children were not in the house at the time of the murder. They are safe and currently staying with some relatives.
