PIERSON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A 31-year-old woman is dead, the victim of an apparent homicide.
The Montcalm County Sheriff’s Department said it happened in the 4000 block of Little White Fish Woods Drive.
The 911 call came in around 3:58 a.m. Saturday – as an apparent assault.
Authorities arrived at the home to find the victim dead in the basement.
Police said they believe it wasn’t a random act.
A person of interest was taken into custody and the investigation continues.
