A high-speed chase forced police to use stop sticks on US-131 Tuesday evening, but the suspect is still on the run.
It started in Kalamazoo Township, Mich., when deputies initially tried pulling the suspect over.
He took off and led several departments on a high-speed chase on US-131.
Police were forced to deploy stop sticks on northbound US-131 near the Wayland exit. He ditched the vehicle and ran on foot.
According to initial reports at the scene, a police cruiser and two other vehicles also ran over the sticks.
Police set up a perimeter to search for the man, and as of Tuesday evening the suspect is still on the loose. The perimeter was eventually withdrawn.
Michigan State Police, the agency currently in charge of the case, reported one suspect was in the car. Police weren’t sure if the suspect was armed.
