The Holiday Weekend is here, and the weather is going to make some drastic changes on Friday.

THANKSGIVING DAY: Windy and unusually warm conditions are expected for the Holiday. Only FOX 17 has been forecasting highs in the lower 60s for Thanksgiving since last week, and it still looks like this is going to happen. We’re going to be close to record-setting temperatures as well. The record high for the date is 66 degrees, set in 1913. The record for the warmest Thanksgiving is 65 degrees, set in 1896.

MUCH COLDER FRIDAY: A strong cold front will sweep through Michigan on Thursday night. This front will be accompanied by scattered rain showers and followed by colder air and snow by Friday afternoon. Friday’s high temperature will be close to 50 degrees at Midnight, with most of the daylight hours having temperatures in the 30s.  Snow accumulation should be an inch or two by the time it comes to an end Saturday.

SATURDAY/SUNDAY: After the snow ends on Saturday, the rest of the weekend will be dry. After a high of only 38 degrees Saturday, temperatures will warm back into the 40s by Sunday.
