Michigan State Police (MSP) report the suspect of a high-speed chase on US-131 has been arrested.
It started in Kalamazoo Twsp. Tuesday evening, the chase headed up northbound US-131. Police eventually ended the chase after deploying stop sticks near the Wayland exit.
The suspect managed to ditch the vehicle and got away on foot.
A perimeter was setup but police gave up that search near the highway a few hours later.
Police caught up with the suspect at a Chrysler dealer near Wayland. The suspect tried to hitch a ride from someone at the dealership who had their car in for repairs.
MSP reports the suspect was arrested around 11:05 p.m. Tuesday on fleeing and eluding and resisting arrest charges.
The suspects name will be released pending arraignment.
