Man Caught Breaking Into Home While On Parole

A man on parole for breaking into homes is caught trying to do it again in Hartford Township, Mich, just south of Bangor.

Deputies were called to reports of a possible break-in near the 65000 block of 63rd Street. A witnesses confronted a 41-year-old man trying to break into a relatives home, kicking in a door.

During the confrontation, the suspect got in his car and took off.

Deputies spotted a vehicle matching the description around 12:30 p.m. on November 21, 2012. The vehicle was traveling east on the Red Arrow Highway. 4 people were in the car when police pulled it over.

During a police interview, the suspect denied any involvement in the incident.

After deputies searched the vehicle, they found a pair of boots matching imprints at the scene.

The 41-year-old suspect was recently released from Van Buren County Jail 2 days prior for another home invasion.

After admitting to the crime, he was arrested on parole violation charges and will be arraigned on November 26, 2012 on the new home invasion charges. His name is being withheld pending arraignment.
