KALAMAZOO, Mich., — Kalamazoo is getting into the holiday spirit early this year as it prepares to host its annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Nov. 23.
The event starts at 7 p.m. where Mayor Bobby Hopewell and city commissioners plan to take the stage.
Following the mayor and city officials is Santa and Mrs. Claus who will read “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas”.
In addition, the ceremony will also feature live music from The Skeletones.
The event will finish when officials light the park and after, Santa will be available to visit with children .
As in previous years, attendees are asked to bring food to donate.
